Job Title:Electrical Design Engineer

Location:Hybrid out of St. Louis, Chicago, or Kansas City

Job Overview:We are seeking anElectrical Design Engineerto join our growing team and contribute to innovative projects in the solar industry. This role offers the unique opportunity to work remotely with occasional travel while becoming an integral part of our future. As we expand into the utility sector, we're looking for a skilled engineer to help us reach our goals by applying their technical expertise and passion for design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical design efforts using AutoCAD and Excel for solar projects.

  • Assist in the development and evaluation of system designs using Helioscope and PVSyst (preferred, but not required).

  • Ensure all designs comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant standards.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet project milestones and drive successful outcomes.

  • Perform project-related calculations and ensure electrical design integrity.

  • Contribute to the company's growth strategy and prepare for a future employee-owned structure.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in

    AutoCAD

    and

    Excel.

  • Familiarity with solar design software such as

    Helioscope

    or

    PVSyst

    (preferred but not required).

  • Strong knowledge of

    NEC Code

    and its application in solar projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, especially in a remote work setting.
