Job Title:Contract Firmware Engineer (Remote)

Location:Greater Phoenix Area (Preferred) / Remote

Estimated Weekly Hours:40

Role Overview:

Our client, a leader in renewable energy and cutting-edge technology, is seeking a highly skilledFirmware Engineerfor a contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development, testing, and deployment, with specific expertise in Firmware Update Over the Air (FUOTA) and LoRaWAN/LoRa technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize firmware solutions for embedded systems.

  • Execute Firmware Update Over the Air (FUOTA) processes effectively.

  • Work with

    LoRaWAN/LoRa

    technologies to enhance communication protocols.

  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with

    STMicroelectronics

    platforms or similar systems.

  • Conduct thorough testing of firmware to ensure reliability and compliance with specifications.

  • Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues, providing timely resolutions.

  • Document firmware processes and testing methodologies for future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with

    Firmware Update Over the Air (FUOTA).

  • Hands-on expertise with

    LoRaWAN/LoRa

    communication technologies.

  • Familiarity with

    STMicroelectronics

    microcontrollers or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of

    wireless technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, execute, and test firmware solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of

    LoRa

    communication and architecture.

  • Experience working with wireless communication technologies.

  • Background in renewable energy or similar industries.
