Job Description:Electrical/Electronics Technician (Solar) – Contract Role

Location:Greater Phoenix Area (Travel to sites)

Estimated Hours:40 hours weekly

Budget:Flexible – Open to candidates with varying rates

We are seeking a dynamicElectrical/Electronics Technicianto support our client's Solar projects, focusing on testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electronic equipment. This contract role combines hands-on work in the plant with some travel to project sites, offering a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about electrical systems and renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct various tests on electronic equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

• Collaborate with installation teams, providing training on best practices for equipment installation.

• Verify installation quality (Golden Row) and perform start-up and commissioning for new systems.

• Inspect wiring, connections, and mechanical components for accuracy and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical issues, both onsite and remotely.

• Document findings, write detailed reports, and track system performance and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:

  2-year technical degree or associate degree (preferred).

• Experience:

  2+ years in a related field (solar module experience is a bonus but not required).

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of basic electromechanical concepts.

• Proficiency with industry-specific tools (pliers, testers, crimps, etc.).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

• Proven ability to work independently and in team settings.

Travel and Working Conditions:

• Travel is required for field service work, with potential extended stays at project sites.

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions, ranging from high heat to snow, wind, and rain.

• When not traveling, work will be performed at our Phoenix facility.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to perform mechanical and electrical tasks safely and efficiently.
