Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivatedRenewable Energy Development Engineerto support the development of greenfield renewable energy projects from site identification through financial closing and construction. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate prospective project sites, provide technical support throughout the development lifecycle, and contribute to the execution of innovative energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Evaluation:
Utilize simulation software and desktop resources to assess potential project sites for renewable energy installations.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Create detailed evaluation reports, maps, charts, and other documentation to support site development and construction planning.
Permitting & Development Support:
Assist in permitting processes and work closely with development and construction teams to ensure project alignment from initiation through execution.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external consultants, including environmental experts, equipment suppliers, and contractors.
Project Updates:
Regularly update management on project progress, milestones, action items, and budget considerations.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related physical science field.
3–5 years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on solar and/or wind power preferred.
Proficiency in engineering software, including GIS, spatial modeling, and 3D modeling tools.
Familiarity with PVsyst, PlantPredict, and other solar performance modeling software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex information.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
