Our client, a leader in the renewable energy industry, is seeking a driven and experiencedProject Managerto lead the development and execution of large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects. In this key leadership role, you will manage all phases of project delivery—from initial planning through completion—ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of the renewable energy sector, including permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, interconnection, and project financing.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams to successfully deliver utility-scale renewable energy projects, meeting safety, quality, budget, and schedule goals.
Comprehensive Planning: Create detailed project plans, including staffing, schedules, budgets, and key milestones for all phases—design, procurement, and construction.
Risk Mitigation: Identify project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure smooth progression while minimizing exposure to liabilities.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for major contracts, including balance-of-plant construction, high-voltage systems, and owner-supplied equipment, ensuring terms meet compliance and performance requirements.
Communication & Reporting: Provide clear, regular updates to senior leadership, coordinate team meetings, and deliver detailed project reviews covering technical and financial performance.
Safety Oversight: Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Seamless Transition: Partner with development teams to ensure a smooth initiation and collaborate with asset management for an efficient operational handover.
Qualifications
Experience
3–5 years of demonstrated success managing utility-scale renewable energy projects.
At least 2 years of project management experience, ideally with an independent power producer (IPP).
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong track record of negotiating and managing large-scale construction and procurement contracts.
Skills
Expertise in creating and managing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and schedules.
Advanced risk management and problem-solving skills, with a focus on addressing both technical and commercial challenges.
Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
Education
MBA or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
Certifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus but not required.
