Position Overview:

TheSite Superintendentplays a vital role in overseeing field operations for large-scale solar projects. This leadership position partners closely with the Project Management team to ensure each project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. The Site Superintendent will manage all aspects of construction, from day-to-day operations to ensuring safety protocols, while motivating and developing the project team to achieve success. Travel will be required to various project sites across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

🌟Team Leadership & Development

• Build, lead, and mentor a strong project team by recruiting top talent and fostering career growth opportunities.

• Develop training and career advancement plans for foremen, superintendents, and future leaders.

• Provide consistent feedback and performance reviews to ensure the team’s growth and success.

💼Project Execution & Management

• Lead and execute project schedules and milestones in partnership with the Project Manager.

• Ensure construction is progressing on schedule and within the approved budget by tracking daily progress and adjusting resources as necessary.

• Create, manage, and enforce production goals and schedules with subcontractors.

• Monitor all aspects of project execution, including quality management, progress tracking, and cost forecasting.

• Work with the team to identify and resolve construction challenges, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and with high quality.

⚡Safety & Compliance

• Lead the enforcement of safety policies and protocols, ensuring compliance across all project team members, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Conduct regular safety inspections, safety meetings, and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.

• Address non-compliance immediately, ensuring the well-being of all personnel on site.

📅Scheduling & Cost Control

• Develop and maintain the Four-Week Look-Ahead schedule, ensuring project timelines are met.

• Drive cost controls across all project aspects, including labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.

• Ensure that subcontractor work aligns with contractual terms and complies with both safety and quality standards.

🔧Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination

• Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, quality, and safety standards.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any field issues promptly.

💬Communication & Reporting

• Conduct daily huddles and regular team meetings to address project status, challenges, and solutions.

• Prepare and review detailed reports including Foreman’s and Subcontractor Daily Reports for accurate time tracking, productivity, and material usage.

• Maintain clear communication with project owners, team members, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

• 5+ years

  of experience in construction, with

  3+ years

  of leadership roles, including managing large teams (100+ workers).

• Experience overseeing self-perform work with multiple crews and managing large-scale utility projects.

• Solid understanding of construction operations, including electrical, mechanical, civil, and other trades.

• Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex schedules.

• OSHA Safety Certification

  with expert knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and scheduling software.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

• Ability to travel to multiple job sites nationwide as required.

• High School diploma

  or equivalent required;

  Bachelor's degree

  in a relevant field is a plus.
