Sr. Estimator / Preconstruction Manager – Solar (Hybrid – New Jersey)

💰$90K–$150K base depending on experience| 📍4 days onsite, 1 remote| 🧑‍💼 Reports to Director of Preconstruction

We're seeking ahands-on Preconstruction Manager / Senior Estimatorwho thrives in a fast-paced environment and canown the entire preconstruction process— from takeoffs and pricing strategy to contract negotiations and vendor coordination.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  technical and strategic

  sides of preconstruction

What You’ll Do:

• Lead RFP reviews, detailed takeoffs, and risk analysis

• Build pricing strategies to optimize profitability and cash flow

• Coordinate subcontractor/vendor pricing, buyouts, and negotiations

• Draft complete, competitive bid packages with supporting documentation

• Collaborate closely with BD, engineering, and ops teams

• Support project startup and see preconstruction through handoff

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of construction estimating (solar/renewables strongly preferred)

• Solid understanding of civil, structural, and electrical drawings

• Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills

• Comfortable using Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, and takeoff tools

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Mgmt, or 7+ years relevant experience

• Knowledge of NEC and solar industry standards (NABCEP a plus)
