Join a leading company specializing in renewable and energy transition projects as aCivil Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge wind, solar, and thermal power generation projects, supporting development and execution phases from site evaluation to financial closing. The position involves a blend of technical expertise and project management in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Site Evaluation:

  • Assess project sites for energy installations with a focus on civil characteristics.

  • Review geotechnical reports and foundation designs, providing technical evaluations.

  • Evaluate and support stormwater designs, permit applications, and compliance with NPDES best practices.

Design and Development Support:

  • Review design packages from third-party contractors.

  • Interface with utilities, consultants, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

  • Support developers by reviewing calculations and responding to technical inquiries.

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with engineering, environmental, and development teams.

  • Communicate progress, action items, and budget updates to management.

  • Provide support during the transition from 0-10% design to execution of detailed designs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in energy-related civil engineering, ideally with both stormwater and geotechnical experience.

  • Background in utility-scale or distributed generation (DG) projects, including solar and wind energy systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of geotechnical and stormwater design principles.

  • Proficiency in reviewing design drawings, GIS, and spatial modeling.

  • Experience supporting energy project development and execution phases.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

  • Collaborative and adaptable in a dynamic team environment.

  • Other: Ability to travel as needed for project requirements.
