Role: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill, NC

Salary Range: $140,000 – $170,000

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be an integral part of designing and implementing advanced utility-scale solar systems. This role demands expertise in electrical studies, including PCCS, ETAP, ArcFlash, and SAM, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed single-line and three-line diagrams of electrical layouts. You’ll lead the technical evaluation and development of system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. From performing power system analyses to optimizing layouts and integrating innovative solutions, your work will directly contribute to the success of high-impact renewable energy projects.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

At least 4 years of experience working on Utility scale solar PV or BESS projects
Proficiency in electrical studies such as PCCS, ETAP, ArcFlash, and SAM.
Strong AutoCAD skills for developing single-line and three-line diagrams.
Experience in performing grounding, cable sizing, and overcurrent protection coordination studies.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE standards, and utility interconnection requirements.
Expertise in designing medium and high-voltage systems for utility-scale solar installations.
Demonstrated ability to optimize electrical layouts for cost and efficiency.
Currently holds Electrical engineering degree + preferred EIT / FE certified
